We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall and we would love to see you.
The programme for 2017 is varied and interesting and you are most welcome to come as a visitor.
In January we had our annual dinner at the Wheatsheaf in Perry where we enjoyed superb food and excellent company.
February - a talk on civil/military coordination in the UN.
March - our speaker tells us about lotions and potions and dubious cures.
April - a Bollywood evening.
May - Scottish dancing.
June - this meeting is always arranged by the members committee (as opposed to the main committee) and is a surprise to us all.
July - an outing to be announced.
August - to be announced.
September - a talk by the Riders branch of the Royal British Legion.
October - researching your family history.
November - our Annual General Meeting and supper.
December - Christmas cake decorating.
There is a raffle at most meetings and refreshments vary from tea and biscuits or wine and nibbles to a full supper. We also have a bring and buy table for books, jigsaws and magazines to help raise some funds.
If you wish to become a member the annual subscription is £39.00. (Not all of this money comes to Ellington WI. Some of it goes to the Huntington & Peterborough Federation and the rest to the National Federation.)
You can find contact details for Ellington WI in the Ellington Express.
