We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall and we would love to see you.

The programme for 2018 is varied and interesting and you are most welcome to come as a visitor.

In January we had our annual dinner at the George in Spaldwick where we enjoyed superb food and excellent company.

February - Why exercise matters - some ideas on why and how we should exercise.

March - How to bone and prep a chicken and what you can cook.

April - My Dog's Nose Knows - dogs supporting people with long-term illness.

May - The Duke of Edinburgh Award.

June - this meeting is always arranged by the members committee (as opposed to the main committee) and is a surprise to us all.

July - an outing to be announced.

August - to be announced.

September - The Man from the Pru - tales of an insurance rep.

October - Indian spices and how to use them.

November - our Annual General Meeting and supper.

December - My Life Working with a Rare Breed - horses in forestry work.

There is a raffle at most meetings and refreshments vary from tea and biscuits or wine and nibbles to a full supper.  We also have a bring and buy table for books, jigsaws and magazines to help raise some funds.

If you wish to become a member the annual subscription is £41.00.  (Not all of this money comes to Ellington WI.  Some of it goes to the Huntington & Peterborough Federation and the rest to the National Federation.)

You can find contact details for Ellington WI in the Ellington Express.
